SALT Ice & Fire is Maputo's fire-and-ice casual fine dining restaurant on the Marginal, where the coals begin: open fire, aged steakhouse cuts, smoke curling into the night air. Every heat has its answer, from oysters over crushed ice to crudo cut cold to order and cocktails poured at the edge of frost.
Like the orchard on our wall, the room keeps its pleasures half in shadow: warm fruit against dark leaves, candlelight against cold stone.

Reservation Request
Step into the cold,
your table takes the candle.
Pick a date and time, choose your preferred table on the floor plan and watch it catch the light. Order ahead if you like, so the kitchen is ready when you arrive. Our team will confirm every request personally by phone or WhatsApp.

Before you send your request
- Submitting this form is a reservation request, not an instant confirmation.
- Your preferred table is not guaranteed.
- SALT confirms every reservation by phone or WhatsApp.
- Your contact details are used to process this request.
- For a comfortable evening atmosphere, families with children are encouraged to dine before 19:00. Please contact us in advance if children will attend later.
- Simple, discreet table decorations are welcome. Please arrange anything more elaborate with our team in advance.
- Professional photography or filming is not permitted during regular service unless approved in advance.
- For parties of 7 or more on Friday, Saturday or a configured holiday, a deposit of 1,500 MZN per guest is required to confirm the reservation.
- Private Dining, per room: Sunday–Thursday minimum consumption 40,000 MZN / deposit 20,000 MZN; Friday, Saturday or a configured holiday minimum consumption 50,000 MZN / deposit 25,000 MZN. Booking both rooms doubles these amounts. Private-room pricing replaces the per-guest deposit above, never adds to it.
- Deposits are credited toward your final bill. If actual consumption is below the private-room minimum, the full minimum remains payable.
- For Private Dining, decorations are supplied by guests and must not damage or affect walls, furniture or other restaurant property. Setup must be completed before 11:30 on the day of the reservation. A professional photographer is welcome.
- Cancellation: more than 48 hours before your reservation, full deposit refund; from 24 up to 48 hours, 50% refund; less than 24 hours, no refund.
- We hold reservations for 30 minutes after the scheduled time. If you expect to be late, please call reception (+258 87 151 7777) as soon as possible and before the grace period expires — an extension exists only if reception approves it.
- Without an approved extension, the reservation and table are released after the grace period. The same table — or any table — cannot be guaranteed, and a later arrival is handled as a walk-in.
- Any deposit paid is non-refundable for a late arrival or no-show.

From corporate dinners to birthday celebrations, SALT hosts private events in Maputo in dining rooms that seat intimate parties of ten up to full-venue takeovers. Menus are built with you, from the grill to the last pour.
